Property Accessibility Statement
Getaway Cabins is committed to providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests, including those with disabilities. We recognize the importance of accessibility and are actively working to improve the accessibility of our properties in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state and local regulations.
Current Accessibility Features
At this time, the majority of our cabins were originally designed and built as rustic vacation retreats in a natural, wooded environment and do not fully meet ADA accessibility standards. Many cabins feature steps, uneven terrain, multi-level layouts, and other architectural elements that may present barriers for guests with mobility impairments.
We are proud to offer two cabins that provide first-floor accessibility features specifically designed to better accommodate guests with disabilities:
- Cabin #33 – Scenic View: Accessible entryway, first-floor bedroom and bathroom with, grab bars, and wider doorways.
- Cabin #41 – Enchanted: Accessible entryway, first-floor accessible bedroom and bathroom with roll-in shower, grab bars, lowered fixtures, and accessible pathways.
These cabins are our current ADA-compliant options and are available for reservation on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage guests with accessibility needs to contact us directly when booking so we can ensure one of these cabins meets your requirements.
Ongoing Improvements
We are dedicated to making reasonable modifications and continual improvements to enhance accessibility across our property portfolio. Recent and planned efforts include:
- Adding accessible pathways and ramps where feasible
- Installing additional grab bars and accessible fixtures
- Improving website accessibility for screen readers and keyboard navigation
- Training staff on disability awareness and assistance
- Evaluating additional cabins for future accessibility upgrades

We have designed our website to be accessible for impaired users to see, navigate, interact and understand the content provided as per the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).
We have tested the functionality of this website with the Google Chrome Accessibility Audit tool. We have also manually tested keyboard-only functionality so that people who use screen readers or can't use a mouse are able to navigate through the website pages efficiently.
